WEEKLY COWPATTY NOTES!

Another thrill on the hill last last night! It was Ray Swinehart capturing the feature win in the modified division and Ron Kline winning the late models. Both features had you on your feet! Swinehart got by a "flying" Brad "The Missile" Missimer with 4 laps to go! Ron Kline inherited the lead when the spinning car of Kurt Spotts collected Mike Kellner and Kyle Merkel. What a heartbreaker for those guys! Congrats to Ray and Ron on their feature wins!
I want to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Brandon Shankweiler who turned 8 on May 2nd! Eric e-mailed Ernie who gave a shout out to Brandon over the loudspeaker last night that really pleased Brandon!
Pre-race we visited Jason Hamilton, Brad and Bert Jones. Jason was sporting his "Cowpatty Nation" shirt looking good! I promise I will never talk about how the race will play out before the car gets on the track again! Jason had a rough night making contact early in the race and tearing up the front of the car! Bert Jones was great giving my daughter Kelsey a Beer City/Jason Hamilton t-shirt. Bert also wants a "Cowpatty" t-shirt! Also got a nice picture from Glenn Gold of Jason car sporting the "CPN" sticker! Thanks Glenn and nice talking with you! Kelsey wanted to come, but battled a case of strep throat and couldnt make it! She was bummed, but LOVED the shirt and cant wait till next week!
Finally met Randy Kane who is one heckava nice guy! I gave him his "CPN" t-shirt and he said he would wear it on the next BCTV show!! Randy did the RCN-TV commentating for the airing of last nights show! He also said he would mention "CPN" on the air as he did last time! Thanks Randy and it was great meeting and talking with you!
We also ran into great guy Joey Adams of Adams lettering! Here is a link to Joe's site: http://www.joeadamslettering.com/ Joey does a terrific job lettering race cars and is always busy! Joey is alot of fun to talk to and has good stories and a great presence about him! Joey invited me over to check out his shop sometime which is a stone's throw from my house! Sounds cool! Joey picked up his own "CPN" t-shirt last night! Thanks, Joe!
Also got a chance to finally meet Chris Noble who has just updated his website, Greatest Show on Dirt! Chris is also a heckava nice guy that I have seen probably every week at Grandview and just didnt realize who he was! Check out Chris's site when ya get a chance! http://thegreatestshowondirt.com/site/
Last night was alot of fun and we were glad we were even able to get the show in with the way the weather forecast was! See ya next week...and keep on Cowpattying!
