All attention will now be centered on the Saturday, September 5th tripleheader sponsored by Green Lane Wm. Penn and Four Star Lettering featuring the NASCAR 358 modifieds, late models and sidewinders ( a first time Saturday night attraction at Grandview). Racing will get the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Admission for adults will be $15. The stock cars will be running in what is scheduled to be the final point race events of the season and will decide the champions for 2009. Jeff Strunk, a seven time track champion, holds a 284 point edge over challenger Duane Howard in the battle for the $10,000 plus modified title. Craig VonDohren, a six time champion, is a distant third in the standings and was eliminated from contention for the championship with the rainout of the August 29th show. In the late models Randy Stoudt has a 59 point edge over Brian Shuey and 145 points over Ron Kline going into the final two nights of point racing.
