BPG RACING INCLUDES HOWARD AND HIRTHLER AS TEAMMATES

BLUE BELL, PA January 1, 2011 . . . Successful Blue Bell, PA businessman Chad Sinon has announced that Grandview Speedway NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified champion Duane Howard and veteran Modified racer Kevin Hirthler will be going after the 2011 title at the Berks County clay oval as part of his BPG Racing team.

Howard, who makes his home in Oley, is coming off the most successful year of his racing career winning the Grandview Speedway title, the American Racer Modified championship, the Pennsylvania State NASCAR Modified title and a third place finish in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series National Championship. He was able to win 19 feature races in 2010.

Hirthler, a feature winner at Grandview Speedway, will be moving from the family owned Green Lane Wm. Penn/Four Star Lettering entry to a BPG Racing mount. The talented young racer finished 10th in the final standings for the 358 Modifieds at Grandview Speedway.

Howard will be in a Troyer mount while Hirthler drives a Bicknel creation. Howard goes after his second straight title at Grandview and his fifth career title at the Bechtelsville, PA racing facility. Hirthler (Boyertown) will be looking for that elusive first track championship.

Car owner Sinon said, “It would be great to see the two drivers finish one-two in the chase for the lucrative championships.” However he was not willing to say if he favored one over the other.

Howard will also have a big block modified at his disposal for appearances in special events at area speedways. The big block motors will be prepared by well known engine builder Bob Bruneau who prepares the motors for the Troyer house car and for a number of other New York based teams.

Motors for the Howard and Hirthler 358 Modifieds will be prepared by Main Engines.

“It was an amazing season that we had in 2010 thanks to the efforts of Duane and an excellent crew along with Main Engines,” said Sinon. “To be able to race at a track like Grandview and get the rewards that we did just is amazing. The Rogers family continues to do a fantastic job with the track and we are hoping to be able to improve on the 2010 season, if that is possible.”

The new BPG Racing team will kick of their season at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, April 3rd, 7 p.m. when chase for the NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified title gets underway.

MEDIA NOTE: From all of us involved with BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports we wish you a very Happy New Year.
