FRIESEN JOINS GODOWN FOR DYNAMITE DUO CHALLENGE IN BPG RACING FREEDOM 76 AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY.
BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 7, 2011 . . . The racer that has won just about every major dirt Modified event, Stewart Friesen, is teaming up with Ryan Godown who seems to be a factor in most of the events that he enters. The “dynamite duo” will take on a star studded field of dirt track racing talents shooting for victory in the BPG Racing Freedom 76 at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 17th. The race, considered the granddaddy of major short track dirt Modified events, will pay $20,000 plus lap money to the winner.
Friesen, was a third place finisher in the BPG Racing Freedom 76 last season. He will be driving the Abbi Electric No. 1F Teo entry owned by Godown. “This is the car that I have been running at another track on Friday nights,” said Godown who is a past winner of the rich Forrest Rogers Memorial Classic at Grandview. He is currently in the top ten in the NASCAR 358 Modified point standings at the Bechtelsville oval.
“We are excited to see how this works,” said the Ringoes, NJ racer. “Having Stew as a teammate is going to make for an interesting race. Now we just have to figure who will finish first and who will finish second.”
