Austin
Langenstein and the #98 crew raced a double header weekend this past Friday and
Saturday night's.
On
Friday night Austin raced at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds Speedway in
Lawndale, N.C.
Austin
would have a fierce battle with the #87 car of Dustin Allmon in the 10 lap heat
race, after trading the lead back and fourth Austin would finish 2nd to the #87
car.In the time between the heat race and main event Austin and the crew went to
work to make some adjustment's to the #98 car.Austin would line up on the
outside of the front row in the 2nd position for the main event.At the drop of
the green flag Austin would get a great start and take the lead on the outside
going through turns 1 and 2. Austin would drive off in to the moon lit night and
lead the entire feature event and pick up his 2nd win out of 3 races in the 2013
Legends Modified season.Austin would work on the car at the Cray Motorsports
headquarters in Harrisburg N.C. on Saturday morning to prepare it for the second
event of the weekend at the famous East Lincoln Speedway. Later that evening
Austin would draw the outside pole for the heat race and would take the lead
coming out of turn 4 on the first lap over the #13 car of Ryan Shattuck and pick
up the heat race victory and pole position for the main event later in the
night.In the main event Austin would start on the pole.In the beginning of the
race there was a few quick yellows that would keep bunching up the field.Austin
would keep changing up the position of where he would start the restarts up to
keep the fellow drivers guessing. On the final restart Austin would get a great
jump and pull away for the final 6 laps and pick up his 2nd win in as many
nights over Jerry Lambert and Dustin Allmon. In victory lane Austin said- ''Man
what a great weekend to be able to sweep both races at two completely tracks is
an awesome feeling. I was starting to run out of tricks in the early stages of
the race tonight when we keep having all the quick yellows. I also have to thank
all my sponsors, Cray Motorsports,Progenex, The SpiderTech Tape ,FK Rod
Ends,Swift Springs, The Brake Man, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions,R&B
Transport Refinishing, Motor Headz and Piranha Ultra Sonic Cleaning with out
them none of this would be possible. Austin will be back in action on next
Friday night June 7th at the Cleveland County Fairground in the #98 L Mod and
then on the following Monday and Tuesday nights 6-10 & 11 Austin will be
behind the wheel of the #7 Cray Motorsports Legend car in the 20th annual Jack
in the box Summer Shootout series at Charlotte Motor Speedway that can be seen
on tv on the Fox Sports network the following Monday and Saturday night's for
