BECHTELSVILLE,
PA April 17, 2014 . . . “Grandview Speedway has long offered a quality racing
program which meshes perfectly with our belief that solid late model racing is
the foundation of our sport,” said BRC president, Jim Bernheisel. And with that
statement he also announced that his company along with Lazer Chassis would
become a major sponsor of NASCAR Late Model stock car racing at Grandview
Speedway.
“We appreciate the opportunity to work with the Rogers family in an
attempt to grow and improve the Late Model division.”
BRC will offer a program that includes free tire giveaways for the Late
Model racers during the 2014 season as well as a Hard Charger Award for the
driver that passes the most cars during feature races run during the 2014
season. The Hard Charger will earn a beautiful BRC embroidered jacket at the end
of the season.
A free tire coupon will be given to all who ran every Late Model race at
Grandview during the season but did not win one in the free
drawings.
A Manufacturers Appreciation Night will also take place on Saturday,
August 23rd with approximately $5,000 worth of product being given
away. The Late Model feature race on that night will be 30 laps and carry an
increased purse.
Late
Model racers must be showing BRC decals, clearly visible on both sides of the
race car, in order to be eligible for the awards.
As
part of the sponsorship program BRC will be able to sell the Grandview tires at
their business location.
“All of us at Grandview are excited to be a part of the BRC program. It
will be a big shot in the arm for the Late Models,” said track owner Bruce
Rogers. “The Late Models have been an important part of racing at Grandview for
many years and we want them to grow and prosper during this season and the
coming seasons.”
TP Trailers of Limerick, PA continues to offer a $100 bonus to each Late
Model feature winner as they have for the past two
seasons.
The NASCAR Late Models will be part of the tripleheader stock car racing
events being offered at Grandview for each Saturday night. The NASCAR 358
Modifieds and Sportsman are also featured in the Saturday night, 7 p.m., racing
action.
