BECHTELSVILLE,
PA MAY 7, 2014 . . . Race fans coming out to see NASCAR stock car racing at
Grandview Speedway on Saturday (May 10) will be treated to four divisions of
competition including the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman stock
cars plus the Blast from the Past Vintage racers.
And since it will be Mother’s Day on Sunday the first 250 moms through
the main gate will receive three wooden roses. They were a big hit last year.
The oldest mom and the youngest mom in the audience on Saturday night will go
home with two tickets to a future Saturday night racing event at the
Bechtelsville racing facility.
The Saturday night show, sponsored by Pritchard,Bieler,Gruver &
Willison,PC of Colmar, PA, will include a full series of qualifying events for
each division of competition leading up to the action packed feature races. The
NASCAR 358 Modifieds will top off their segment of stock car racing excitement
with a 30-lap feature race that starts 28 drivers that earned their starting
spots through the qualifying events. The BRC Late Models and Sportsman will be
featured in 25-lap features while the Vintage cars will run in a 15-lap main
event.
Fans on hand for the Saturday night, 7:30 p.m., events will be in for
quite a treat since they will not only get to see some of the very best stock
car racing in the area but they will also get a chance to revisit history when
the Vintage cars perform showing what the sport was like in years gone
by.
There will be no increase in the adult admission for the four feature
program as it stays at the regular $15 while youngsters 12 and under are
admitted FREE. Active military with proper identification are also admitted
free.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the Low Down & Dirty Meet and
Greet that features at least one driver and car from each division of
competition.
The pit gates open at 4 p.m.
