RACERS ARE REMINDED TO PROVIDE INFORMATION ON 2015 PLANS
BECHTELSVILLE, PA March 12, 2015 . . . Wanted, a few good singers. Grandview Speedway is looking for singers that would like to sing the National Anthem at Saturday night NASCAR stock car racing events during the 2015 season.
“In recent years we have relied heavily on the talents of Keith Gerhart to sing the National Anthem and he has done a wonderful job,” said track marketing manager Ernie Saxton. “However with his tight schedule we want to welcome others to showcase their talents to the thousands of fans that attend the Saturday night racing events.”
Interested parties, preferably singers with experience, should be in touch with Tina Rogers at tmm0327@dejazzd.com or Ernie Saxton at esaxton144@aol.com.
Again this year the talented Low, Down and Dirty radio show personnel will handle the weekly meet and greets that have proven so popular with race fans. The meet and greets give fans the opportunity to meet the racers, collect autographs, take photos or have their photos taken with racers and get an up-close look at the various race cars on display.
Low, Down and Dirty is the popular Internet radio show that can be heard on Tuesday nights and gives listeners the opportunity to hear the latest auto racing news and features interviews with some of the popular figures in the sport.
Race teams are being asked to contact track marketing manager Ernie Saxton so that they can be provided with a questionnaire to be completed so that the latest team information is available. Much of the information will be used in track publicity efforts which will result in increased media exposure for the team and their sponsors.
Contact Ernie Saxton at Esaxton144@aol.com or telephone 267.934.7286.
2015 Season pass holders are invited to the track on Saturday, March 21st at 1 p.m. to select their reserved seat for the season. Those who have not purchased a season pass but have interest in doing so may make their purchase on that day for just $350. That pass will cover all Saturday events run from April through the Freedom 76 Classic in September.
Grandview Speedway will kick off their 53rd consecutive season of stock car racing on Saturday, March 28th at noon with a free-to-the-public practice session that will feature all divisions of competition planning to race at the Bechtelsville oval.
On Sunday, March 29th, 1 p.m. the first of a series of Enduro racing events will be presented.
The battle for the lucrative NASCAR and track point funds will get the green flag on Saturday, April 4th at 7 p.m. and will feature the NASCAR 358 Whelen All American Series Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.  Adult admission is $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted FREE.
