BECHTELSVILLE, PA March 6, 2015 . . . There seems to have been some
confusion amongst racers planning to race at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview
Speedway this season regarding the use of correct
tires.
Effective immediately racers will be permitted to use BGP stamped
American Racer tires that they have on hand. Once their supply of BGP stamped
tires is exhausted racers will be required to use only American Racer tires that
carry the “GVIEW” stamp.
Grandview management has told tire suppliers that effective immediately
only “GVIEW” stamped American Racer tires should be sold to racers planning to
use them in competition at Grandview.
“We apologize for the confusion regarding the proper tire to be used at
Grandview,” said Tina Rogers, speaking for the Rogers family, operators of
Grandview Speedway. “We felt that we had handled the tire situation by allowing
racers to use the BGP stamped tires throughout the 2014 season. Unfortunately,
we found some of our racers still have some of the tires that were purchased
late in the year. In fairness to them we will permit them to be used until their
supply is exhausted. We encourage all racers when purchasing tires to purchase
“GVIEW” stamped tires. ”
