Racing action has been cancelled at Big Diamond
Speedway for Friday, April 24. Projected below-freezing temperatures and
high-winds forced owner/promoter Jake Smulley to make the tough
decision.
“It’s unfair to expect the race teams to put their
equipment at risk with this severely cold weather,” stated Smulley.
“With tonight also being dedicated to kids it is in everyone’s best
interest to regroup for next Friday’s racing action.”
Racing action returns to “God’s Country” this Friday night, May 1st,
with Leindecker Racing Engines Night as the Lias Tire 358-Modifieds
have their first full-points show of the season. Joining the modifieds
on the card this
coming week will be the highly anticipated return of the ARDC Midgets
along with points races for the Savage 61 Roadrunners and the Slifko
Fabrication Street Stocks.
The Searock Fabrication and Speed Supplies Modified
Challenge will complete next week’s racing line-up. The challenge races
will be determined by a fan vote. Look for details to be released early
next week.
