Coatesville, PA – June 7, 2017 – When
the G & H Motorsports team prepared their 2017 schedule one of the
series that we were excited for was the Appalachian Mountain Speedweeks!
Dan and the team knew it was going to be a challenge just to qualify
for any of the races that we were going to but all racing is a challenge
and the chance to represent our sponsors in different areas and grow as
a team is our plan for the 2017 season!
Susquehanna Speedway, Thursday June 1!
First
ever Super Speedweeks race AND first ever time trials for the Farmer’s
Insurance, Book Agency #46! Dan started 9th and finished 9th in heat. He
started 8th in B-Main and finished 8th, 2 qualified for the
feature so we have to try again at Port Royal Speedway. All in all we
were happy to finish everything we started and will build from there. We
took the opportunity to learn a bit from watching some of the best
Super Late Model drivers on the East Coast run the A-Main Feature.
Congratulations to Gene Knaub for his feature win.
Port Royal Speedway, Saturday June 3!
As
the Appalachian Mountain Speedweek continued at Port Royal Speedway,
Dan and the team made the trip with 42 other teams. Time trails were
turned and the team kept trying to make the car better as Dan started
and finished 8th in his heat. We made a couple changes and went out for the B-Main and finished 8th
in that also. Even though we did not qualify for the A-Main feature we
are learning a lot about running the Super Late Model Class.
Congratulations to Jeff Rine on his win at the “Speed Palace” Port Royal
Speedway.
Path Valley Speedway, Sunday June 4!
Path
Valley Speedway was our third stop on the AMS and as teams were in the
pits a persistent rain started and a heavy track made it impossible to
get the race in. Traveling without going back to the home garage also
has its challenges as the team did the cleaning of the car by hand with
buckets, went over the chassis and suspension out in the open instead of
inside a well stocked garage. All teams do this that travel and its
something to see when you look around at what everyone is accomplishing.
Every team was ready to showcase their equipment, teams, and sponsors
without missing a beat!
Next Stop Williams Grove Speedway!
Dan
and the team will travel to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday June 9.
We have not raced at Williams Grove yet and again a challenge awaits and
the team is preparing for it! We then travel to Selinsgrove Speedway on
Saturday June 10. Stop in and check out a race if you are nearby!
Racing starts at 7:30 PM.
Thanks for being part of our year of "Super Growth"!!

Friends Racing At Other Tracks!
Our team member Todd Lapp ran his Vintage car with teammate Ron Myers at Delmar and Grandview this past weekend. Ron finished 2nd at Delmar and Todd finished 3rd at Grandview. Good luck to them on their next outing!
The
always helpful Joe “Geezer” Fanelli ran his NASCAR Modified at
Grandview Speedway Saturday night. Joe was an alternate to the feature
but did not get a chance to start as all the other qualifiers took their
place when the green flag dropped. His is also a first year venture in
the Modified class and like the #46 team is up to the challenge and
learning more every week.
Nathan
Mohr in the #17m Sportsman had some engine difficulties this week but
the team did everything possible to keep him on the track including
changing rockers right in the pits at Grandview! Now that is some
dedication to maintaining a presence on the dirt track!! Good luck next
week Nate!
