January 26, 2018 – The Outlaw Enduro Series will jump start their 2018 racing season on Saturday Afternoon March 24th.
Before the new year of competition officially begins, however, the
enduro series is presenting their awards banquet at Johnny & Hons
Smokehaus (924 West Penn Ave in Robesonia PA) on Sunday February 11th.
Doors
will open at noon with the banquet taking place from 1PM to 4PM.
Admission is $20 to be paid at the door. Dinner consists of a hot and
cold style buffet along with an open bar. Line Dancing will take place
following the banquet. Casual dress is recommended. The 2016 and 2017
racers in all four enduro divisions will be honored.
In
2018, The Outlaw Enduro Series is competing in a six race schedule
exclusively at Grandview Speedway. The historic 1/3 mile clay oval
located in Betchelsville PA has graciously presented enduro racing at
their facility on a yearly basis since 2008. The speedway is celebrating
its 56th consecutive season of competition this year.
Details
of each event will be released in the near future, and it will consist
of three Saturday events and three Sunday shows. The schedule consists
of the following: Saturday March 24 at 1PM (Raindate: Sunday March 25th
at 12PM), Sunday April 15 at 12PM, Sunday May 6 at 12PM, Sunday June 3
at 12PM, Saturday September 29 at 12PM and Saturday October 27 at 12PM.
All
six shows will consist of Big, Small and Junkyard Car Enduros along
with a Ladies Race. As has been the case for many seasons, the popular
Blast from the Past Vintage Stock Car Club shares the card of events on
each race date.
In 2017, Travis Guyer of Ivyland PA
celebrated his very first Big Car division championship holding off
well-established veterans Mike Fiskaldo, Noah Frazier, Brian Moyer, and
Brandon Guyer. Phil Levering of Parkerford PA earned two championships
in the Small Car and Junkyard classes. Levering won the small car title
over Chuck Eckert, Linsey Rummel, Brian Moyer and Vinnie Wenrich. In the
Junkyard division Linsey Rummel placed second followed by John
Bilofsky, John Rose and Jamie Naftzinger. Teenager Jamie Neiman of
Wiconisco PA was the Ladies Division champion.
Outlaw Enduro Series competitors are reminded that the 10th annual Coventry Mall racing show in Pottstown PA will take place from March 9th to 11th and includes enduro cars. All drivers interested in showing your car at the mall may contact Scott Hoffmaster at coventrymallrcs@yahoo.com .
