Dan Green Races To 10th Place Points In First Year At Selinsgrove Speedway!
2018 Season RecapThe Hot Rod Processing #46 driven by Dan Green had a challenging and rewarding season at the Wide Open Selinsgrove Speedway in the Super Late Models! The second full season racing in the Super Late Models proved to be another learning year for Dan and the team as we went through 2 motors and 2 Lazer X Chassis. This was the first year racing a full season at our new “home” track - Selinsgrove Speedway with just a couple trips to other tracks and racing against the best Super Late Model Teams in the country. We raced with the World of Outlaw Late Models and the Lucas Oil Late Model series to learn as much as we could for the future.

Finishing 10th place in the driver point standings while missing one point race was an accomplishment that Dan was going for. Picking up the trophy and point fund money at the banquet was a team effort as the whole team attended the event. Selinsgrove did a great job with their annual banquet as the third year owners did a great job honoring the champions and all the drivers at the small and big tracks. Dan and the LAZER X #46 plan on returning to the track for the full 2019 season and building on what was learned for a better overall finish in the points race. Selinsgrove Speedway is a great place to see a “super” race and we encourage you to attend one for the experience! The improvements made for this year and what they have planned for next year is impressive and sure to please any race fan!

Dan Green and the G & H Motorsports team would not be able to do what we love to do without the help of family, friends and businesses that support, work and cheer. The owners and parents, Cathy and Scott Green, Aunt Deb, Uncle Jim, Cousin Brett make up the garage and track help with boys Gavin and Austin providing help when they can. Dan recently married Jennifer who comes to the races to help, cheer and chauffeur the team mascot German Shepherd, Soldier. We have had the support of other friends and family including Todd Lapp, Bob Higginbotham, Joe Fanelli, Ron Myers, and Phil Jelke along the way when they could be at the garage or the track. Our #1 fan Linda Auman Beachell leads our “fan club” and has been there for us since day 1...Thanks Linda! Cathy and Scott are extremely grateful for the support of all the sponsors of the #46 that Dan gets to drive. HotRod Processing’s Ed Mann and Mike Grogan have been long time supporters. Dan has only driven a LAZER chassis in his Late Model career and everyone at Bernheisel Race Components have given their help with special advice coming from Jim, Brandon and Bryan Bernheisel. Farmer’s Insurance agent Mike Book from Downingtown, Linda’s Hair Techniques, Little Anthony’s Pizza and Grille have all been with the team for several years and we thank them. Newer sponsors Alfa Romeo of the Main Line, ACE Hardware of West Chester, and VIP DJ Entertainment have only been with the team for a short time but they are very much appreciated. NGK Spark Plugs has been a product sponsor for a few years now and do a GREAT job promoting their team members. Our team was honoured to have been in the NGK customer only calendar a couple years ago. We also thank Brett of Brett Higginbotham Web Design for keeping the race stats and all he does for us that way as well as being part of the crew.
