GRANDVIEW AND BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAYS PROVIDE RULES UPDATE FOR 2025 SEASON, NEW CLAY SURFACE AWAITS GRANDVIEW RACERS

YEARLY RULES MEETING COMPLETED – GRANDVIEW AND BIG DIAMOND SPEEDWAYS HAVE SEVERAL UPDATES FOR COMPETITORS IN ADDITION TO THE LEFT SIDE PANHARD RULES TAKING EFFECT FOR THE 2025 SEASON

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The management teams of Grandview Speedway and Big Diamond Speedway have recently completed their yearly rules meeting with track technical officials, which has resulted in several updates for weekly competitors at both Speedways.

The Rogers Family who promote and operate Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa. and Jake Smulley who promotes and operates Big Diamond Speedway in Forestville, Pa. are once again making a joint announcement on several car specification updates that will be put into effect at both tracks heading into the upcoming 2025 racing season.

2025 UPDATES:

*First on the list, all competitors are reminded that the rules to eliminate the left side pan hard bar suspension for 358 Modified and 602 Sportsman race teams are going into effect for the 2025 race season. This change was originally announced in October of 2023 and reaffirmed in early August of this summer. A full explanation and measurements are available in the online rulebook.

*All competitors are reminded that wheel covers MUST be BOLTED on, or bolted under the bead lock ring for safety reasons.

*All competitors are reminded that NO third circuit carburetors are permitted.

*After consultation with the Fire and Rescue team because of safety concerns, NO Lithium batteries will be permitted for use.

*DIRT approved race car body panels will be allowed at this time, and will be monitored to see if they will become a permanent change.

One further update for Grandview Speedway Modified competitors will see a slight change in tire compounds for the season ending Freedom 76, as the track will return to the pre-pandemic compounds of right rear 48 or 50 ONLY, eliminating the 53 compound tire for use in the championship event.

Modified race teams are reminded that they can have their engines sealed prior to the upcoming race season. To do so they can contact Ed Scott at 610-298-2408 for information or to set up an appointment. The cost of sealing the engines will be $200.

Track Officials are reminding all race teams in the Sportsman division that their 602 engines may be rebuilt if they have problems, at a local rebuilding center that is available under the supervision of the RUSH Racing series. The rebuild center is KB Performance 6807 Mosserville Road, New Tripoli, Pa. 18066, phone number is 610.751.9650. KB was selected by RUSH as the local rebuild and repair center, and has been certified by the RUSH Racing series. KB Performance is accepting engines, just contact them for further details.

Competitors are reminded that the updated online rule book for the 2025 race season will be available on the track’s websites at www.grandviewspeedway.com or www.bigdspeedway.net .

Any further rule or car specification questions can be directed to Grandview tech officials Cliff Quinn 484-357-2587 or Ed Scott 610-298-2408.

The Grandview Speedway track crew took advantage of the great fall weather in October and November to do several projects around the facility in preparation for winter or the upcoming race season.

The biggest project was the addition of 64 Tri-Axle dump truck loads (24 ton per load) of fresh clay to the track racing surface in preparation for next year.

Track management would like to thank Kershaw Contracting of Telford, Pa. for their help and use of the Excavator, as well as Wenger’s Equipment of Myerstown for their help and the use of their Bulldozer in completing the project of resurfacing the Speedway.
